Bryant brothers (cricketers)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
John Bryant (born c.1717; died 23 July 1772) and his brother James Bryant (died May 1755), both of Bromley in Kent were noted English cricketers of the mid-Georgian period. Generally rated by the sources to have been fine players, they particularly excelled in single wicket contests. Along with Robert Colchin, they were two of the best players for the Kent county team and were key members of Bromley Cricket Club which had a leading team through the 1740s.
James and John are both recorded in matches from 1743: James until 1751 and John until 1756 [1].
John Bryant was said to be a bricklayer [2].
