Bryan R. Lentz is a Democratic member of Pennsylvania House of Representatives , representing the 161st Legislative District since 2007. His district is located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Lentz is an Army Reserve veteran of the Iraq War and a former prosecutor. In Iraq, he served as a company commander in the 416th Civil Affairs Battalion, in charge of reconstruction in Nineveh Province and its capital of Mosul. Lentz earned the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for his tour of duty.

Lentz is a graduate of Georgetown, and obtained his law degree from Temple University.

In 2006, he planned to run for the United States House of Representatives in the Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district against Curt Weldon. However, after discussions with party officials, Lentz decided to bow out for Vice Admiral Joe Sestak and to run (successfully) for the State House instead. [1]

He defeated incumbent Tom Gannon with 51% of the vote.
