[edit] Early life

Bishop was born in 1978 and grew up in San Carlos, CA. He attended Junipero Serra High school with Tom Brady. He majored in Creative Writing at The University of Southern California, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fratnerity. [1]

[edit] Career

In May 2002, Bishop began working with Adam Carolla on the radio show Loveline as a call screener. He left on June 2, 2005.

On January 2, 2006, Bishop began working on The Adam Carolla Show as a call screener. On May 4, 2006 Bishop filled in for Mike Lynch, the show's sound effects person while Lynch was getting married. [2] When Lynch was promoted to writer, Bishop became the show's permanent sound effects person and the call screener position was filled by Kyle Baugher.

[edit] Role on The Adam Carolla Show

Bishop is able to talk on the show, but usually prefers to communicate through drops (e.g., a "ding" meaning "yes"). He provides the voice of Fake Jack Silver, spoofing Program Director Jack Silver of KLSX. He also plays opposite Carolla in humorous re-enactments inspired by news events. In early 2008, his role was discussed on-air several times, and Adam has called attention to fan interest in Bishop. Since then, his role on the show has increased to include active wagering in bits such as "Totally Topical Tivo Trivia" "Blah, Blah, Blog" "Gay Walking" "Nerd Walking" and more frequent news story re-enactments with Adam. Additionally, he has become a regular contributor to Music Mondays (infrequently replaced by Movie Mondays).
