[edit] Infobox 2

Thanks for the contributions to the Metacity article, but I've changed it back to the original software infobox. Here's why... on the discussion page of another article.. Thanks again, and I hope you can improve the article further. - Motor (talk) 17:20, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your prose on Talk:Ubuntu (Linux distribution)

It would really help the project if you could be both more polite and detailed in your comments. Many thanks. - Samsara (talkcontribs) 18:37, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I suppose so. bruce89 18:45, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Replacing my edit

Fine. I like a personal note over a template, myself.[1] I haven't told anybody to go away before, but edit warring on Wikipedia... well. Bishonen | talk 11:54, 26 June 2006 (UTC).

Sorry, I have merged the two together, I just thought it was a bit rude. bruce89 11:56, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] .NET framework

I appreciate your edit. If you would, please continue to monitor the topic and step in with your own opinions ( on talk:) anytime. Leotohill 17:25, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

I will add it to my watchlist. bruce89 17:26, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dartford

I know the vandal in person, and I am being personally targeted (my user page, various other pages that I edit, etc). Unless you can suggest another way to deal with it, forgive me a bit of impatience while I just sit there and revert his edits without stooping to his level. Thanks for your time. [edit] 85.227.10.132

I've been watching over this ip's talk page, and noticed you thought they were the person who edited, or "vandalised", yours. I'm sorry for not using proper Wiki User Talk Page etiquette on your page; it was me who remarked about your rude comment on that ip's talk page. From what I know, that ip is an exit gateway for the Tor network. Again, sorry for causing the hassle. I just thought that the last sentence of your remark on that page stuck out, and was unprofessional and rude, even though the user is a vandal/zombie.

Yes, you are right, that's why I changed it. I will not do it again. I just assumed it was the person whose page I was rude on.bruce89 13:02, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the version number bump on Metacity.

The Wednesday Island 22:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

I do try to keep things up to date around here, so don't mention it. bruce89 22:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nautilus latest version

Hello Bruce89. According to the official site, it seems that the latest Nautilus version is still 2.12.0, and not 2.16.0. I do not use this file manager, so I did not reverted your edit yet. Please confirm anyway. Thank you. Amux 09:59, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

That page is completely out of date. The GNOME FTP site states that 2.16.0 has been released, which is stable as it's minor revision number is even. bruce89 11:39, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Metacity

Can you include a link to the Metacity blog [2] somewhere on Metacity? Possibly some of the posts on there might be good for citations, too. Also, the infobox says it doesn't know what the first release number was; it was 2.4.13, as you can see from the NEWS file. Marnanel (talk) 16:08, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I've put a link in the "External Links" section, I suppose it could be put somewhere more prominent. I'm slightly unsure about the initial release, as FTP would suggest that 2.4.2 was the first. I wonder if technically it should be one of the 2.3.x series, but they appear to have disappeared. bruce89 (talk) 12:53, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
