Talk:Bruce Report
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi I iam researching an essay on the social history of Glasgows mueums and publics. I seem to remember sometime in the 90's/00's a document was leaked explicitly saying that the slum clearances had been to make the city look better rather than improve the lives of its residents. did I imagine this or does anyone know what I am talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Linsey
[edit] NPOV issues regarding "21st Century Perspectives" section
This section was written following an extensive clean-up of the article aimed at restoring neutrality to the main sections. It incorporates many of the 21st century responses and perspectives which had previously been muddying neutrality of the body of the article. The section attempts to present varying contemporary views and interpretations of the Report and its impact neutrally and objectively. Further work on improving this neutrality is required (at present only one person has edited it, so there is probably some bias in the text), however wholesale deletion of this section seems unwise. Given its impact on the shape of modern day Glasgow, an important aspect of any discussion of the Bruce Report should be the recognition and examination of contemporary perspectives.
