I'm an old CT R and think this is not NPOV

First of all, sign your opinions and be accountable. Also what is a "CT R". Bruce Morrison is a panderer especially to the Irish, and I know because I've read the garbage he writes on the Irish Echo and the Irish Voice encouraging the Irish to think that they are entitled to preferential treatment ahead of everyone else in getting green cards. He is a panderer and an ambulance chaser, he is not a statesman.

That wasn't my post. Bruce Morrison may well be a panderer, but it's not our place to state that as fact in a Wikipedia article. The purpose of this forum isn't to attack people we don't agree with, it's to provide facts and information in as unbiased a format as we possibly can. In this case, it is proper to present anti-immigrant groups' criticism of Morrison, but it is improprer to editorialize by authoritatively labeling him a panderer.--Francisx 17:46, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. Morrison may have critics re: his immigration stance but I do not think that is the central focus of his biography, unlike say Lieberman and Iraq. In any case "pandering" implies he is castigated by the general public on the issue and that is not true. It would be like implying Nancy Johnson is held in ill repute because Moveon doesn;t like her.

Morrison isn't a panderer to the Irish. That's would be comparable to saying that Cesar Chavez pandered to Mexican farm workers. The Irish is one focus of his work. But Morrison hasn't just worked on the Irish. He was on the Banking Committee that ended the US funding of Pinochet and visited elections to end the dictatorship in Paraguay. I'm not saying his ideas are without fault, but he's done some good work.Porvida 22:07, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

I think the guy who calls Morrison an ambulance chaser is pretty funny. You do know that he was a public defender and then an immigration lawyer. So, don't see how you can angrily lash out at those types of lawyers.Porvida 17:43, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
