Brustolina

A brustolina is a grill which fits over a gas burner on a hob. It comprises a square sheet of metal with holes punched in the base and a square griddle over the top. Heat is applied from below, rather than from above.
They are widely available on street markets in Italy and are used in Italian cuisine. They can be used for grilling bruschetta, polenta or vegetables.
