Brunton, Inc. is a manufacturer of technical gear for outdoor activity located in Riverton, Wyoming. Brunton is well known for innovation in the categories of binoculars, backpacking equipment, family camping, GPS, headlamps, solar panels for portable power, surveying compasses and instruments including the Brunton Pocket Transit, a measuring tool used by geologists and archaeologists and often known as simply a "Brunton."
In 2006, Brunton's parent company (Silva Group of Sweden) was acquired by Fiskars Corporation. Brunton is now operated under the Gerber Legendary Blades division of Fiskars Corporation.
