Brunate is an Italian town and commune, part of the province of Como, near Lake Como (northern Italy, 50 km north/east from Milan).
Brunate is famous for its landscapes: the whole Alps can be seen on very sunny days.
Brunate has 1,770 citizens, but is much more populated in summer, when tourists rent houses and apartments.
A funicular connects Brunate down to Como. Very interesting treeking paths start from Brunate.
