Brunapeg is a business center and Village in the Matebeland South region of Zimbabwe.

Prominent establishments are the St Annes Roman Catholic Church which runs mission schools and Brunapeg hospital.

The Hospital has a nursing school which has produced a large number of nurses, doctors and teachers.

The area exports Genimbasia belina and Gynasamaia spp locally known as Macimbi/Mahonja.It is a dark grey and black in color worm with protruding spine, which measures up to 6-8 cm in length when fully grown. The worm feeds on Mopane leaves. It is exported to Botswana and some of it is transported to the City of Bulawayo for distribution through out Zimbabwe.

There is also huge investment in the area from Immigrants workers in South Africa,Namibia and Botswana.

Businesses at the centre include Gas Service stations,Grocery Shops,Hardware shops,Post offices, Restaurants and a food distribution center.

Present-day Brunapeg as a singular entity can be seen as fairly liberal, in the 2004 parliamentary election.58 % voted for the Movement for Democratic Change.Edward Tshotsho Moyo Mkhosi (MDC) 10,145; Eunice Nomthandazo Moyo (ZANU-PF) 5,723.

However the MDC lost the largely boycotted Senate election.

Most people in the area are of Kalanga descent,and there is a huge number of Ndebele and because of its proximity with Botswana there are also Motswana people. The Shona are a minority.
