Bruce Hayes

Bruce Hayes is a professor in the linguistics department at UCLA. He received his Ph.D. from MIT. He is a phonologist, and is well known for his book Metrical Stress Theory: Principles and Case Studies. His research interests also include phonetically based phonology and learnability.
He is married to linguist Patricia Keating.
