[edit] Career
Dyer started his career at Watford in 1994, before being sold on to Crystal Palace. This transfer made Dyer the first ever teenager in English football to be transferred for at least £1 million. He played in the Premiership and the Football League Division One with Palace for several seasons before moving to Barnsley.
Barnsley were relegated to the Football League Division Two in 2002, and in 2003 Watford snapped up Dyer on a free transfer. He later played 12 games for Stoke City, where he enjoyed a 10-game loan spell at Millwall before transferring to Sheffield United in January 2006.
Having made more than 300 appearances in the Football League and scored more than 100 goals in his career so far, Dyer joined Doncaster Rovers on 2 June 2006 on a free transfer. He had a loan spell with Bradford City in February 2007. He was on the bench for Doncaster Rover's game against Bradford City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the beginning of the 2007–08 season.
On 13 September 2007, he joined Rotherham United on a one month loan deal,[1] with Rotherham striker Tom Cahill out injured, he went straight into the game against Wrexham and performed very well, the Millers won one-nil thanks to a Chris O'Grady winner. After only three weeks at Millmoor, Dyer returned to Doncaster Rovers, with a 'minor' back injury, his loan spell for the Millers was unsuccessful. On 31 January 2008 he was released by Doncaster Rovers.[2]
On 27 March 2008, Dyer joined Chesterfield until the end of the 2007–08 season.[3] He played three games before he was released.
[edit] International career
Bruce represented Montserrat in a friendly game against Ashford Town in September 2007.[1]
