Bru, Sogn og Fjordane

Bru is a former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway.
It became a municipality of its own on January 1, 1923 when it was separated from Kinn. On 1 January 1964 a merger took place between the municipalities of Bru, Kinn, Eikefjord and Florø to form the new municipality Flora. At the same time the area south of the Førdefjord, with 92 inhabitants, was moved to Askvoll. Before the merger Bru had a population of 1,247.
