[edit] WikiBreak

Due to a variety of factors, I am taking a self-imposed WikiBreak and will be back when I feel like it. Don't hold your breath....  B.Rossow talkcontr Tuesday, July 4, 2006 @ 06:04 (UTC)

I archive this page regularly. Archives can be found here.

[edit] AfD discussion

Are you aware of this discussion: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2006 May 6#List of "All your base are belong to us" computer and video game references, List of "All your base are belong to us" print and electronic references? --LambiamTalk 09:57, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I wasn't aware of it. Frankly, I don't even care right now. I'm sick and tired of arguing with ignorant people over these pages. You get a group of deletionists who don't understand a given topic or who find no personal value in it, so therefore it's "cruft" and no amount of supporting material is worthwhile or valid. So screw 'em. If they want to delete the pages, fine. I've had enough and have better things to do with my life. I'm not even going to waste my time with a vote. But thanks for the heads up just the same.  B.Rossow talkcontr [[Tuesday]], [[May 9]], [[2006]] @ 03:28 (UTC)

[edit] Admin InShaneee

Hi, I was hoping you could voice your views on the conduct of InShaneee here: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Inappropirate conduct by admin InShaneee. Basically, I am making the case that InShaneee hands out unfair warnings, refuses to discuss them and holds double standards. Paul Cyr 21:47, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

This place is full of pricks who have nothing better to do with their time than pick at others rather than contributing content. As I recall, he's one of them. Unfortunately, I've taken the past month or more off from WP and likely won't be back until the weather turns cold. I've got better ways to create stress than arguing with people on WP. Hope your effort here was successful.  B.Rossow talkcontr [[Tuesday]], [[July 4]], [[2006]] @ 06:00 (UTC)

[edit] AYB article

Don't know if you still care about the All your base are belong to us article anymore, but I've made a proposal for an actual policy on the "AYB references", basically to restrict them to occurances with some sort of media coverage, and creating another page that people can put any and all AYB references (like the Warcraft reference that keeps popping up). I know you put a lot of work into that article, and probably stopped working on it out of frustration. If you're still interested, though I'd like to keep improving the article, maybe shooting for featured status. --JerryOrr 12:18, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Nope, sorry. Really don't care at this point, but thanks for the notice. I've learned the hard way that dedicated work can be easily overthrown by morons in blind majority here on Wikipedia. Like lemmings they are, and I've got far better things to do with my life than try to educate lemmings. Tried my damndest to help and got shit on for it. Thanks, but no thanks.  B.Rossow talkcontr [[Tuesday]], [[July 4]], [[2006]] @ 05:58 (UTC)

[edit] Use of copyrighted information in Ashland, Wisconsin

I'm curious about the large amount of information you pasted from http://www.visitashland.com/overview/ that you say was used with permission. Did the Ashland Chamber of Commerce release it to be used by anyone under the GFDL? Was the permission filed with the the Wikimedia PR department? If so, you might wish to make a note of this on the talk page with Template:confirmationas per WP:COPYREQThanks. --BaronLarf 17:08, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it was used with permission from the COC (I lived in Ashland for five years and got the permission verbally from the COC director, who is a good friend of mine), but I'm sick and tired of fighting for every piece of information posted here. If you want to delete, just do it. I've really had more than enough with the overbearing wanks on this site who seem to revel in removing the work of others — as if the Ashland COC is going to be pissed at Wikipedia for promoting the city with correct, current information! Fucking ridiculous question, ESPECIALLY considering it's taxpayer-funded, public information to start with! Do what you need to do. --BRossow 13:20, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please fix your signature

The <font size=4 face="Brush Script MT" color="333399"> markup in your signature is causing the font for your signature to be about twice the size of the surrounding text on IE 6 under Windows XP. Please fix per WP:SIG#Appearance and colour, Markup such as <big> tags (which produce big text), or line breaks (<br /> tags) are to be avoided, since they disrupt the way that surrounding text displays. —Doug Bell talk 22:35, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

  • IE7 is out; fix your browser. --BRossow 05:16, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I strongly agree with you

I strongly agree with you and your logic about Buffalo Speedway! WP is not WikiporniaJerryVanF (talk) 02:32, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
