[edit] Eddie Van Halen
Van Halen claims to have a 7hz sine wave on his CD... created on his guitar... by turning the settings down on a chorus pedal? Is that supposed to be some kind of joke?
To the above poster: it was never suggested that a "brown note" was created by a chorus pedal, or by Ed Van Halen, for that matter. Read more carefully.
To the person who changed the "chorus pedal" addition: EVH's use of the Variac was his longstanding attempt to get more distortion from his amplifiers, and has nothing to do with his own mention of "the brown sound" as he achieved it on the album "1984". The information was a reference to a direct quote from EVH in Guitar Player Magazine, at the time of the release of that album. Please don't change things just because they are commonly attributed on the 'net.
The eniac 480 transducer also played a big part in the "Bround Sound". The latter "5150" van hagar album proved that. In addition to the eniac transducer of the early 80's the "flux capacitor" single handedly regenerated the famed "Brown Sound". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.176.245.247 (talk) 17:32, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] POV Tag
I'm doing NPOV tag cleanup. Whenever an NPOV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. This is a drive-by tag, which is discouraged in WP, and it shall be removed. Future tags should have discussion posted as to why the tag was placed, and how the topic might be improved. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements.Jjdon (talk) 23:30, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
