It would be interesting to know why this tiny urban county was created in 2001. --Jfruh 21:37, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

  • Before 2001, Broomfield existed in four separate counties: Boulder, Adams, Jefferson, and Weld. The decision to begin the push to become the 64th county of colorado was started in part to defray the problems with having to deal with four separate court districts, four different county seats (each an average of almost an hour away from Broomfield), and four separate county sales tax bases. Broomfield decided that it could provide county services better and more responsively if it were its own county rather than dealing with four separate counties. neoEinstein 08:19, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Please ensure that elections material posted on this page deals with the election in an objective manner. Please stay away from highly controversial topics that may only incite a flame war (trolling).

There is already enough trolling being done in the local media outlets for the entire campaign. It needn't be brought to this informational source.

The link to sister city Broomfield, UK directs only to the Broomfield disambiguation page, on which three Broomfields are listed in the UK. Could someone familiar with the sister city program fix this to link to the correct city's page?Az7997 15:50, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
