[edit] Use as incendiary weapon

Does anyone have a source for the use of BrF3 as an incendiary weapon during World War 2? It was (allegedly) used by the Americans, who effectively controlled the global supply of bromine at the time (the Germans had to use ClF3, which posed greater engineering problems).
