The Brownsville Toros are a minor league baseball team in the independent Texas Winter League. They are based in Brownsville, Texas. The Toros are the first professional baseball club in Brownsville since 1953, and are managed by Ricky VanAsselberg, manager of the inaugural ULB champion Alexandria Aces. No summer season team has been officially announced, but is anticiped in United League Baseball in 2008.[1] All Texas Winter League games are played at Harlingen Field, which seats 4,500 fans.
