Browns Plains is a suburb of Logan City, Queensland, Australia.
[edit] Description
Browns Plains is generally used as a name for it and the surrounding suburbs of Hillcrest, Greenbank, Park Ridge, Regents Park and Heritage Park. Browns Plains has been identified in the South East Queensland Regional Plan as an outer city regional centre. Browns Plains is generally perceived as a middle class suburb of Logan although crime has seen an increase with the population increase.[citation needed] The suburb is located in an area which is less developed than most Brisbane suburbs and includes an abundance of bushland and farms. It is however a suburb which services the surrounding areas. One notable aspect of Browns Plains is the Grand Plaza Shopping Centre, which opened to the community in 1994 and was extended some 13 years later.
