Brown Mackie College – Miami in Miami, Florida, is a member of the Brown Mackie College system of schools, a collection of private, for-profit educational institutions for career preparation in the business, legal, health sciences, information technology, and creative fields. The Brown Mackie College system of schools has 18 locations in eight states throughout the Midwestern, southeastern, and southwestern United States, and has a total enrollment of 9,078 students (as of fall 2006). The Brown Mackie College schools are owned by Education Management Corporation, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Brown Mackie College schools provide bachelor’s degree, associate’s degree, diploma, and certificate programs.

Brown Mackie College — Miami is a branch campus of Brown Mackie College - Cincinnati. In 2003, the parent company of Brown Mackie College - Cincinnati was acquired by Education Management Corporation.

Brown Mackie College — Miami is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools(ACICS) to award associate’s degrees and diplomas. ACICS is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions also is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Brown Mackie College - Miami is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education under Chapter 1005, Florida Statutes and Chapter 6E, Florida Administrative Code.
