Brown Mackie College – Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia, is a member of the Brown Mackie College system of schools, a collection of private, for-profit educational institutions for career preparation in the business, legal, health sciences, information technology, and creative fields. The Brown Mackie College system of schools has 18 locations in eight states throughout the Midwestern, southeastern, and southwestern United States, and has a total enrollment of 9,078 students (as of fall 2006). The Brown Mackie College schools are owned by Education Management Corporation, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Educational accreditation of the Brown Mackie College schools’ programs varies among schools. Brown Mackie College — Atlanta was founded as the Asher School of Business. In 2003, the parent corporation of the Asher School of Business was acquired by Education Management Corporation, and in 2004, the Asher School of Business changed its name to Brown Mackie College — Atlanta.
