The Brown-throated Parakeet (Aratinga pertinax) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is found in Aruba, Barbados, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, French Guiana, Guyana, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Panama, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Venezuela, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
