The Brown-capped Weaver (Ploceus insignis) is a species of bird in the Ploceidae family. It is found in Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
