[edit] Overview

Brothers in Arms DS is a third-person shooter set in World War II. It features 16 missions across 3 campaigns set in Tunisia, Normandy and the Ardennes. The game features stylus-based controls and support for up to 4 players in multiplayer. [2] To adapt to the Nintendo DS hardware, the game includes auto-cover behind walls and an auto-recovery system. The game does not support singlecard download play or the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, only multicard play for up to 4 players with deathmatch and team deathmatch modes. The game features five weapons: the Thompson, a Springfield sniper rifle, and a bazooka. The two unlockable weapons are the M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle, and M1 Garand which only fires rifle grenades.[3]

[edit] Plot

[edit] Normandy

The game starts with a Normandy campaign where, upon landing, the player must liberate several French villages on foot, and can also use jeeps and tanks.

[edit] Tunisia

The second campaign is set in Tunisia where the player must liberate a town on foot, destroy anti-aircraft guns and bunkers using tanks, defend a fort under siege and finally take part in an SAS style raid behind enemy lines.

[edit] Ardennes

The third and final campaign takes place in the Ardennes. In the first mission the player must eliminate the retreating Germans on foot and with armoured support, while the second mission requires the player to hold the front line until reinforcements arrive. The final mission of the campaign, and the game, tasks the player with flushing out elite paratroopers and grenadiers that have set up fortifications around the Rhine.
