Brother Rice High School is a Catholic all-boys non-residential college prep school with approximately 700 students located in Bloomfield Township, Michigan (Bloomfield Hills mailing address). Its address was for many years in neighboring Birmingham, Michigan's postal district and the school is still often called "Birmingham Brother Rice."

Located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit, Brother Rice was founded by the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1960 and named after their founder Edmund Ignatius Rice. The school's mission is to develop the body, mind and soul of its students. As a Catholic institution, Brother Rice emphasizes the development of faith, character, honor, integrity, discipline, values, and virtues among its students. It has earned a reputation for high academic standards and is regarded as one of the premier athletic programs in the state, having earned 49 state championships in 46 years in various sports. The Brother Rice Warriors won their first state skiing championship in the school's history in late February 2007, also becoming the first high school located in southeastern Michigan to bring home the gold. Less than two weeks later, the varsity swim team captured another swimming state title. In the spring of 2007, the Brother Rice lacrosse team won its 10th state championship in the last 12 years, giving Brother Rice its 49th state championship overall.

The Warriors are members of the Michigan High School Athletic Association and compete in the Detroit Catholic League with Detroit Catholic Central High School as their primary rivals. Secondary rivals include St. Mary's Preparatory, University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy (AKA "U of D Jesuit"), and De La Salle Collegiate High School. Their head football coach, Al Fracassa is the all time wins leader in Michigan high school football history with 365 wins and was named National High School Coach of the Year in 2005.

The school was the site of a labor battle in 2003 and 2004 when a group of teachers attempted to unionize. However, a state court ruled that that state labor and union boards have no jurisdiction over private religious schools.

The complex belongs to the category of buildings with a sculpture by Corrado Parducci.
