Broome Regional Prison is an Australian prison located in Broome, Western Australia. It is the only prison located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Prisoners enjoy many liberties and prior to Western Australia introducing a ban on travel on the back of utilities the prison truck would often be seen driving around town with a load of prisoners on the back setting out for community service tasks. It was also common to see the prisoners playing football on the towns ovals with their guards watching on[citation needed].
