Brook Kerr (born November 21, 1973) is an American actress who played the role of Whitney Russell Harris on the television soap opera, Passions. Kerr has played the character since the shows debut in 1999 and is considered one of its veteran stars. She exited the role of Whitney on 7th September 2007, which was also the last day the show aired on NBC. She will join the cast of HBO "True Blood" as Tara Thornton. The show is also starring Anna Paquin. She is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Kerr moved to Los Angeles after graduating high school to pursue a career in acting. She has lived there ever since. Her son, Chris Warren, Jr. (to whom Kerr gave birth as a teenager) is also an actor, having appeared as Zeke in High School Musical and High School Musical 2. Kerr is still with Christopher Warren, the father of her son, and they have been together since their teens.
Kerr's mother currently serves as a receptionist for Indiana Governor, Mitch Daniels .[citation needed]
