Bronwydd

Bronwydd is a village in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, United Kingdom.

It is situated about three miles north of Carmarthen town in the valley of the River Gwili.

In Census 2001, Bronwydd community (Parish) had a population of 572.[1]

Bronwydd community comprises the village of Bronwydd Arms, a couple of nearby hamlets and a number of working farms in the surrounding area. Bronwydd Arms Station is a halt on the Gwili Railway.[2] Cwmgwilli mansion was home to a prominent local family, the Philipps, and has 17th century features.[3]

The main attraction of Bronwydd is the village hall with the big nights being Bowls on a Wednesday, Jehovah's Witnesses congregation on a Thursday with Aerobics on a Sunday.
