Brontinus

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brontinus (Greek: Βροντῖνος), of Metapontum, was a Pythagorean philosopher who lived at the end of the 6th century BC. Alcmaeon dedicated his works to Brontinus as well as to Leon and Bathyllus. Accounts vary as to whether he was the father or the husband of Theano.[1] Iamblichus quotes a work of Brontinus.
