Broken Obelisk is a sculpture by Barnett Newman completed in 1963. It is the largest and best known among his six sculptures.

A version of the sculpture is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, while two others are permanently installed in Red Square on the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle, and in front of the Rothko Chapel in Houston.

As of 30 March 2008, the University of Washington's Broken Obelisk has been temporarily removed from Red Square. In an email to a faculty member, Kurt Kiefer, Campus Art Administrator, says that the sculpture is undergoing needed repairs. The repair effort is funded by the original donor, Virginia Wright.
