Brodogradilište Split

Altohugh the history of ship building in what is now outskirts of Split, is thousand years old, it was not until 1922 that "Brodosplit" Shipyard Company was founded by merging few minor remount shipyards in the area.

It is in it's current location since 1932, after what it grows into one of Croatia's largest shipyards. Significant development and export orientation has been recorded in the latter half of the 20th century.

"Brodosplit" is a joint stock company, with the Government of Croatia as the majority holder, and employs nearly 4000 people. It today mainly receives orders for oil tankers, both panamax and non-panamax, as well as passenger ships.
