Brodie Brazil

Brodie Brazil (born April 3, 1981) is a Sports Reporter and Television Anchor, formerly of KICU and KTVU's Emmy Award winning programs, The A's On Deck Show and High School Sports Focus.
Born and raised in Castro Valley, Brazil attended Castro Valley High School and then graduated from San Jose State University, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Brazil is known for his entertaining and hands-on approach to broadcasting. Some of his signature segments included "Out of Bounds", "Swisher Unscripted" featuring Nick Swisher and "Baseball Clinic", where Brodie would discuss the finer points of the game on the McAfee Coliseum field with various Oakland Athletics players.
Away from work, Brazil is an FAA certified Commercial Pilot with an Instrument Rating.

He joined KICU in 1999[1] as an intern. Later that year, he was hired as a Videographer and Editor for the station, and was eventually promoted to Reporter in late 2001. In 2005, Brazil was named co-host of both High School Sports Focus and The A's On Deck Show winning awards for his work on each. Brazil, and the entire Sports staff at KICU were released on December 31, 2007 by parent company Cox Broadcasting.

He has been nominated for 10 Northern California Emmy Awards, winning three times since 2002. Brazil has also been recognized by the Northern California Radio Television News Directors Association as well as the Society for Professional Journalists.
