Broderick, California

Broderick (formerly, Washington) is a former town in Yolo County, California, USA, now forming part of West Sacramento. It is located just west of the Sacramento River in the eastern portion of the county. Broderick's ZIP Code is 95605 and its area code 916. It lies at an elevation of 23 feet (7 m).
The town was originally named Washington, but was renamed in honor of the anti-slavery advocate and United States Senator David C. Broderick.[1]
A controversial civil gang injunction against a street gang identified by the West Sacramento Police Department as the "Broderick Boys," was overturned by an appeals court judge in early 2007.[1]
