The Brockenbahn is one of three metre gauge railways which together the the Harzquerbahn and Selketalbahn comprise the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen narrow gauge railway network in the Harz Mountains region of Germany.

It runs from the town of Drei Annen Hohne, where it joins the Harzquerbahn, to the summit of Brocken, the highest mountain in this part of the country at 1141 metres. During the Cold War era, the mountain was off-limits to non-military personnel, but since the reunification of East and West Germany and subsequent re-opening of the line, it has become extremely popular, and carries thousands of tourists to the summit every year.
