Broadway on Broadway is a free annual outdoor concert kicking off the Broadway season each September. Fifty thousand fans crowd Times Square to enjoy this iconic New York City event, featuring performances from current shows and sneak previews of new productions from the upcoming season. This audience development event is broadcast in a one-hour edited version for television in the tri-state area on NBC-4 and has been televised nationally on NBC affiliates.
Produced by the League of American Theatres and Producers with the Times Square Alliance, Broadway on Broadway is presented by Continental Airlines and Sprint, and sponsored by The New York Times.
