The broadfin sawtail, Galeus nipponensis, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the northwest Pacific from Japan and the Kyūshū-Palau Ridge between latitudes 34° N and 7° N. Its length is up to 70 cm.
Reproduction is oviparous, with possibly a single egg laid per oviduct.
