[edit] Welcome
Hey there, Brianmc. Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian and decide to stay! Here are a few good links for newcomers (or "oldcomers" for reference):
By the way, you should sign and date your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Three tildes (~~~) produces just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!
Great, just what we need around this place... more MCs. :) Cheers. --Lord Voldemort (Dark Mark) 21:19, 1 September 2005 (UTC)
- Belated thanks for the welcome. :) I'm more of a Wikinewsie, best to use my talk page over there. Brianmc 21:29, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

You tagged this article as a copyright violation with the edit summary it was the same facts with different wording. The article is well cited, you cannot copyright facts. I trimmed it anyway, despite the fact that you couldn't even take the time to notify me the main, and basically only, contributor the article. I have removed your tag and posted the new version, though I dispute that the original was copyright violation. IvoShandor 08:34, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

- Apology accepted, sorry if I came off harsh. I have revised the section. I did not revert anyone, I actually blanked the section to work on it off wiki. I figured why leave up disputed text? IvoShandor 10:35, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Helmr
The Executive staff at Wikipedia ordered that Stephen Michael Cohen page reamin the way it is until the United States District Court decides who own what and who stole what from whom.
Please do not change it again prior to the court decision on August 6, 2007 Helmr 10:59, 24 July 2007
- Just in case anyone thinks this was me being problematic - check the user's talk page. Blocked for... --Brianmc 11:36, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Templated
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to God, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ≈ jossi ≈ (talk) 17:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
- You lack a sense of humour. Do you hold a deeply religious belief which makes you consider a wikinews article which mentioned the subject inappropriate? I doubted my addition would be allowed to stand due to religious fundamentalists, but I did not expect a vandalism warning notice. Would you care to expand on why Nebraska Senator sues God should not be listed on the God article? I think I deserve that courtesy, I'm not some noob that should be templated. I'm from a sister project where I am ArbCom, CheckUser, Oversight, and Admin. --Brianmc 17:51, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Adrian-belew-here-album-cov.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Adrian-belew-here-album-cov.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
