I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing!

[edit] Kudos from others

[edit] Thanks for a really good polishing up of Stephen Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Wow! Great work! This article was good already when featured (naturally), but now it is REALLY well written and conveys clearly why a "mere comedy act" was and remains such a big deal. Really neat referencing, too, citing both the limited-availability original and a freely available second-hand source, when needed.

I would like to smile at you, but I still need to learn how. :-)

Peace and interesting times - and apologies for first thanking Master of Puppets for your good work!

[edit] On compliments and encouragement

[continuing from where you left off on my talk page ] Your answer warmed - thank you for that! You may be right that more kind words would be needed - I have not been around long enough (as a contributor, that is) to have formed any strong opinion on that issue yet. But I liked what I saw on the Esperanza page, though obviously I do not qualify for that yet. So I joined the Kindness Campaign, mostly to remind myself when I feel tired and cranky (in my last job I sometimes had to rewrite a whole referee report if I made the mistake of writing it too late at night or in a bad mood - such waste of time...).

Oh, and do not feel compelled to answer speedily (or at all) - I just wanted to say Hi! and further strengthen our resolve to act as good WikiNeighbors.

BTW: If these two messages' linguistic styles seem too wide apart: I just stopped watching Nero Wolfe on TV - their formal style and dated vocabulary are quite contagious and take a while to evaporate ;-)
