Talk:British Latin American

[edit] Need numbers

Yep, sure could use some numbers... I did not include info from this site which says that 10% of Argentines are British-descended - that's more than 4 million people, just in Argentina! I thought that was too high and probably included both British and Irish, so I went with the far more conservative 100k. SamEV 02:07, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Borges?

Claiming that Borges is a British Latin American is just too simplistic, I reckon. --Asteriontalk 22:51, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

I think it's simplistic only if the claim is made that it is all he was, which we don't. He was partly of British ancestry, English more specifically ([1]). He was also culturally English to some degree, even having learned English before Spanish. SamEV 20:13, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
