[edit] Willie Lloyd Turner or Willie Jones?

This article says Willie Lloyd Turner "stepped in the way" to stop James Briley from tossing a lit match. That sounds like Turner was one of the six who escaped. However, the Mecklenburg Correctional Center article does not mention Turner, but instead mentions another person called Willie, namely Willie Jones. The list of individuals executed in Virginia shows that both a Willie Jones (in 1992) and a Willie Lloyd Turner (in 1995) were executed in Virginia. So who was is that stepped in the way? Who was it that escaped? If Turner was not one of the six, how could he have "stepped in the way", unless it is meant in a figurative sense (for instance, Turner still being locked up, but being able to persuade James Briley not to do it from his cell)? This needs clarification and/or correction. wjmt 00:56, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
