Talk:Brianna Love
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dear Wikipedia:
I am the author of this article; I have done my best to adhere to a neutral, "Wikipropriate" tone in writing this article and I have provided as much documentation as I believed I could reliably find on-line; if the format of my citations is not precise enough for Wikipedia standards I would appreicate help in revising the format. I have also tried to upload a free photograph from the "Lukeisback" website--which has previously granted permission for Wikipedia to feature its photographs--but have been unable to link the image successfully to the article. (I have uploaded the photograph twice onto the images portal, but never made the link between the image and the article. www.lukeisback.com includes two photos of Brianna Love on its website, as far as I can tell; I chose the straight headshot because I thought it was the better of the two images.
I've also encountered an additional formatting problem with spelling the subject's name: although I typed "Brianna Love," as would be correct for a proper name, but the title of the article got formatted as "Brianna love," and when I have tried to establish relevant links to this article--responding to the "orphanage" problem--I was only able to do so successfully when linking to "Brianna love," not "Brianna Love." The links I established successfully, which I think are all legitimate, refer her back from bios of other porn starts with whom she has worked or to whom she can be relevantly compared; I have been unable to add her link to more neutral links such as to lists of "Living Persons" or "Female Porn Stars," and I would appreciate help with this.
Finally, with respect to the merit of this article, I can only appeal to the general standards governing articles about pornography: Brianna Love has been making adult videos for about 2 years; she has appeared in more than 100 features; she is a popular "box cover model"; and her general popularity with producers as well as consumers indicate that she is likely to be a "rising star." In the article, I compare her favorably with the porn stars Naomi, Sasha Grey, and Aurora Snow; I think these comparisons are valid efforts to contextualize her in the contemporary porn scene, and I think if the articles for these performers have passed muster, then her relevance to the Wikipedia Pornography Project should be no more in doubt than theirs.
I am new to all this; please advise and, where appropriate, correct!
Thank you for your attention, consideration, and help with this article.
Sincerely,

- I corrected the title of the page. In order for Brianna to be notable for the purposes of wikipedia though, you should include any awards she has won or been nominated (there has to be multiple nominations though). Naomi, Sasha, and Aurora all have won major awards and have been involved in mainstream projects so the comparison right now is weak. I'll take care of the photo issue later tonight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinh1313 (talk • contribs) 19:58, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Dear Vinh,
Thank you for your help with all this, particularly with the photo. At this point I don't know of any awards she has won, but as I've stated, she is very prolific and as best as I can tell quite popular with both viewers and producers, so I anticipate she'll begin to earn awards soon.
Best wishes,
