I've just made this move. He was a writer who happened to be held as a hostage, and has since written about it. He may be well-known for being in captivity, but it is not right to define him by this single event. Note that his fellow captive John McCarthy is John McCarthy (journalist). --Richard New Forest (talk) 09:38, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
