I believe this individual meets notability guidelines for academics as per Wikipedia:Notability (academics):
"The person has received a notable award or honor, or has been often nominated for them."

Yes, I vote for his notability! Tristanary 18:25, 29 October 2007 (UTC)tristanary
Yes, as a full professor he will probably have done sufficient that he can realistically be considered notable. it would help to have a list of his 4 or 5 most cited peer reviewed papers. and a count of the citations as given by the standard source, which is Web of Science --in his particular special field, there may be other relevant citations, but be prepared to justify them. - I see no reason to remove this page as "instructors request" -- there is no such policy. He likely is notable. Nor can it be removed at the author's request, as others have edited. The subject can request removal via a OTRS request, but that will only be allowed if the notability is considered borderline. Anyone unhappy with this can contact me, if necessary by email. Indeed, the instructor of the class that assigned the article requested that students blank their articles. It was not required, and I am happy to leave the article as is, but it will no longer be edited as part of the school assignment, the school assignment has officially been moved to a private wiki. —Preceding unsigned comment added by IST301 (talk • contribs) 17:41, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
