Talk:BRINT Institute

[edit] References

The references here are absolutely ridiculous. They're four times longer than the article itself and appear to be bordering on WP:SPAM. Jauerback 15:56, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Based upon your observation, we have reviewed the WP:SPAM related Wikipedia page. That page notes: "Articles considered advertisements include those that are solicitations for a business, product or service, or are public relations pieces designed to promote a company or individual. Wikispam articles are usually noted for sales-oriented language and external links to a commercial website. However, a differentiation should be made between spam articles and legitimate articles about commercial entities." As a matter of record, BRINT Institute is a social enterprise supported, subsidized, and underwritten by its founders. Its focus from its inception in 1994 has been on providing "free public services" to inform, educate, and enlighten worldwide managers, policymakers, and scholars on issues material to business technology management and knowledge management. What you see listed above is a very "small sample of references" out of a few hundred thousand references about the BRINT Institute and its contribution to global practices and research on these disciplines. The text of the matter has been kept short until we can determine how best to understand, follow, and comply with Wikipedia standards for presenting additional text.
That being said, we find your comment and its flavor unrepresentative of constructive criticism. In the future, if you indeed want to represent the aims and missions of Wikipedia, please be as constructive as possible and refer to specific and explicit examples and illustrations on how to further improve the presentation. Thank you for your attention in helping clean up the presentation of this article.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.Yogesh.Malhotra (talkcontribs) November 25, 2007
I didn't say the article was spam, but the list of references is bordering on it. Please try to clean up the number of references, the amount shown is completely unnecessary. Also, specific citations would be useful. See WP:Citing sources for further information. Jauerback (talk) 20:37, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
