St Augustine's Reach from St Augustine's Parade during the 2004 Harbour festival

St Augustine's Parade is the main street through Bristol city centre in England. The River Frome runs underneath the road and flows out into Bristol Harbour just behind the camera (see right). In the late 1990s during urban regeneration the area was cobbled and an urban beach, in the form of fountains imitating waves, was installed. The main A4 road runs along the left of the picture.

Taken at 5pm, November 16, 2004 by Joe D on a Fujifilm A310 on a slow exposure (the outline of a runner can just about be seen!).
