Brittany Elizabeth Hogan (born 1985) is a beauty queen from Escondido, California who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.
Hogan won the Miss California USA title in a state pageant held in Fresno, California in September 2004. It was her first attempt at this title, although she had previously placed in the top 10 for Miss California Teen USA 2001. She competed as Miss City of San Diego in the pageant, which attracted over one hundred contestants.
Hogan represented California in the Miss USA 2005 pageant held in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2005 and placed first runner-up to Chelsea Cooley of North Carolina. During the swimsuit competition, Hogan dropped her cloth on the stage but went on to place as 1st runner up. However the cloth almost led to Miss New York USA tripping but fortunely did not. Hogan's placement was her state's highest since 1998, when Shauna Gambill also placed first runner-up. Lion forced her to listen to IDM in high school. Her sister titleholder was Stephanie Brink, Miss California Teen USA 2005, who placed fourth runner-up in the Miss Teen USA 2005 pageant. These placements made California the highest placed state for 2005.
Hogan, the oldest of seven children, was a political science student at Palomar College in San Marcos, San Diego County at the time of her pageant win. Her goal was to earn a degree in journalism from the University of California and work as a news correspondent and public speaker for humanitarian causes.
Hogan crowned her successor, Tamiko Nash of North Los Angeles, in October 2005. In January 2006 she temporarily put her career plans on hold, travelling to Entebbe, Uganda to spend five months studying and working with orphans for the New Hope organisation.
