British North Greenland Expedition

British North Greenland Expedition (1952-1954) was led by Commander James Simpson RN.

North Ice was the name of a research station of the expedition, on the inland ice of Greenland. The co-ordinates of the station were 78°04′N 38°29′W, with an altitude of 2,345 metres above sea level.
