British Institute of Innkeeping Awarding Body

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The British Institute of Innkeeping Awarding Body (BIIAB) is the wholly owned awarding body of the British Institute of Innkeeping, a professional association for the licensed retail sector. They offer training courses and qualifications for jobs in licensed retail sectors.

The BIIAB offers a wide portfolio of sector-specific qualifications. Some of these certifications are now mandatory requirements under Britain's Security Industry Act; namely the BIIAB level-2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors, which fulfills the licensing requirement of the act for the licensing and training of doormen. [1] The BIIAB also gives training courses in other matters related to the hospitality industry, such as responsible alcohol sales and retail licensing requirements. [2]
