BC Children's Hospital is a medical facility located in Vancouver, British Columbia. and is an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority.
BC Children's specializes in health care for patients from birth and infancy up to age 16. It is also a teaching and research facility for children's medicine.
BC Children's is adjacent to the BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre. The two were officially a single organization and were known as the Children's & Women's Health Centre.
BC Children's also operates the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, which provides specialized services to children and youth with developmental disabilities aged birth to 19.

BC Children’s roots go back to the establishment of a fund for crippled children by the BC Women’s Institute in 1923.[2] In 1928, the Vancouver’s Crippled Children’s Hospital was established. This was followed by the opening of the Crippled Children’s Hospital in 1933, which was renamed as the Children’s Hospital in 1947.
In 1964, the Children’s Hospital and the Health Centre for Children agreed to the construction of a joint facility, which began construction in 1977. Construction of BC Children’s at its current location was completed in 1982.

BC Children’s offers a broad range of inpatient, outpatient and tertiary care for children from birth to adolescence. This includes clinics, emergency services, pediatric health care, surgery, intensive care, transplants, genetics, and an HIV centre.
BC Children’s is affiliated with the UBC Faculty of Medicine and serves as a teaching hospital for infant and pediatric care. BC Children’s is also the home of the Child and Family Research Institute.
