Brit Indi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brit Indi is a fusion between Indian and ordinary British ingredients – such as bread, bacon and baked beans – with Indian spices to create Indian meals. Invented by Indian immigrants into Britain who could not source all of their Indian ingredients. Instead they adapted the local ingredients to create Fusion Food. A term popularised by Manju Malhi in her book Brit Spice
